Though Brian’s and Kevin’s Clementine aren’t too bad at all, I must say.
Okay, now I’ve heard Camille’s performance. A lot better than Brian’s and Kevin’s I must say.
Wow, Forgetful Jones sounds really different from Richard’s performance. Oh well, this is his debut after all. And Clementine’s voice is mighty high compared to Kevin’s performance, though she sounds a little like Elmo when Kevin performs her. I have yet to hear Camille’s performance.
Isn’t that a little hard to be brushing each other’s teeth?
Yup.
In that case, this is probably Kevin’s first Muppet appearance.
This was Forgetful’s debut, right?
Buster sounds like a Bee Gee.
Yes, at least on those occasions when he can remember that she is his girlfriend.
Clementine is Forgetful’s girlfriend, right?
I totally forgot about this one. This one is from the early eighties right?
I think I like Richard Hunt as Forgetful better.
I’m looking for another Forgetful Jones clip, one in which he’s imagining Gordon, Maria, and Luis singing him a song called “Write it Down” Broadway style. Does anyone have it?
You’re right. I didn’t realize it at first. I did think it was Nelson.
Because puppeteer Michael Earl Davis left Sesame Street after working there for three seasons.
What I meant was why did they change it from the original voice.
They didn’t. This was Forgetful Jones’ first clip ever. Michael Earl Davis was the original voice.
It is so weird to hear someone beades Richard Hunt do Forgetful’s voice. Why did they change it?
Apparently he was committed to other things at the time, but he did make occasional appearances on the show at this time. And yes that is indeed Kevin performing Buster.
If this is from 1981, than that can’t be Kevin Clash playing Buster because he didn’t join the show until 1984.
Well, that’s ok with me that it has a logo on it. Mainly because it reminds me of 2006, when all the other great Sesame Street clips were on this website.
There was also an original version of the sketch where Forgetful needs something to ride around the ranch, with Michael Earl Davis as Forgetful, Brian Muehl as Clem, and Kevin Clash as Buster.
Yes, there are 2 clips on here that a user named CatthathasNoName has posted. They are from a 1981 episode where Mister Rogers visits Sesame Street. Ironically it’s from episode 1575 which would be the very last time Michael performed Snuffy. He only performed him from 1979-1981 then Marty took over. Anyways look for it on here. Just type in Mister Rogers Sesame Street Catthathasnoname and both parts should pop right up. You’ll notice how Michael does a pretty good match to Jerry’s Snuffy. Enjoy
All right. I was hoping this would get uploaded. It sure is interesting to hear Mike Davis as Forgetful, though I like Richard Hunt’s voice better. Thanks, Nanto.
I understand Davis also voiced Snuffy for a time. Anyone have any clips of that?
Thanks for posting up the original version!
