Was there not a line about the pleasure in a ‘Spring Surprise’ being ‘watching obviously’… This is one of my fave MP sketches! Terry just seems so reasonable despite his hideous chocolates!

Projection is tricky because it’s not balanced — some characters sound natural with loud voices, but others sound totally forced. I imagine comedy is particularly hard, because certain parts need to sound louder than others.
John Cleese tends to dislike large venues over small ones, because he has to project rather than act. That could be why.

Benny Hill was considered funnier than Monty Python by a UHF station that ran both! The station was WLVI TV Channel 56 in Cambridge, Mass. I agree with the station!
